The villa accommodates up to 8 guests in four beautifully styled bedrooms, each with high-quality COCO-MAT mattresses and flexible bed arrangements (either queen-size or twin). Every bedroom connects directly to a bathroom, giving guests a sense of independence and comfort. The open-plan living room is stylish but warm, featuring a large 65″ smart TV, a modern dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen ideal for cooking and sharing meals with friends or family.
What I loved most about this place was the outdoor space. The heated pool (60 sq.m.) is surrounded by sun loungers, umbrellas, and a garden full of olive and fruit trees. There’s also a shaded dining area, a gas BBQ, and a grassy spot perfect for kids to play. Whether you’re enjoying your morning coffee, cooking outdoors, or watching the sunset with a glass of wine, every moment feels effortless and calm.
The story behind the villa adds to its charm — Theodoros Raissakis originally built it as a private family retreat. The name “Azatis” means “free” in the Cretan dialect, and honestly, that’s exactly how you feel here: free to relax, enjoy, and reconnect.
Location
Within just a few minutes by car, you’ll find several of Chania’s best beaches, like Kalamaki (1.1 km), Agioi Apostoloi (1.4 km), and Chrisi Akti (2.2 km). And when you’re ready for a bit of city life, the old harbour and the vibrant centre of Chania are right around the corner.

8 months agoWhilst the villa itself is very modern, spacious and well equipped, it was let down for us due to the room and the service (or rather lack of it). Our room was marginally above basic, no storage, and I'm sorry 3 hangars does not work, even though we were promised more to delivered. Nah, that never happened either. We've stayed in better rent rooms. I had to keep my clothes in my suitcase for the 10 days. There was no en-suite, so we had to use the 'Family' bathroom.... We had a major leak in our room from the A/C, which flooded our room. Management was contacted, a visit promised within 10 minutes......never saw anyone to fix it, no-one came round. Frankly, appaling. It states in the in house brochure, our staff are on hand at any time....they are not. Supposed to be a visit from the staff every 3 days, in 10 days, saw then ONCE. Be careful if you need a taxi, as not all of them will come out to this area, so if you don't have a car, you are pretty remote. The Taxi Co, we were recommended as 'works for the Villa', only does airport transfers.... I'm sorry, but for what you are paying, it is anything but good value, yes it looks good in the pictures, but the service aspect is dreadful and frankly shocking. Stayed in much better accommodation in Crete, payed a lot less and got a lot more. Cannot recommend I'm afraid, and the Management Co need changing, as simply not interested.

a year agoThe house is massive and extremely modern. The free space is impressive. The outdoor is unreal - colossal pool and huge 12 seat dining table partially surrounded by a fully functional outdoor kitchen with olive grove behind it. Views are spectacular. Most spacious and impressive villa I have ever seen in Greece
