KAHRAMAN Komboloi & Jewellery – old port
KAHRAMAN Komboloi & Jewellery, nestled in the heart of Chania’s old harbour, is where tradition meets craftsmanship. Here, you’ll find one of the richest collections of collectable amber komboloi and unique handmade jewellery—carefully chosen and lovingly crafted with respect for heritage and beauty.
The store specialises in handmade komboloi made from rare and noble materials such as kahraman (amber), red Egyptian faturan, mastic, yusuri, and more. For those who seek something different or more accessible, there’s also an incredible range of pieces made from mineral stones, wood, bone, horn, and fragrant materials.
You’ll also discover an elegant selection of jewellery, with amber playing the starring role—rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings that highlight its natural glow and warmth.
A second KAHRAMAN Komboloi & Jewellery store awaits you at 77 Apokoronou Street, right in the centre of Chania. You’ll find almost the same impressive komboloi collection there, while the jewellery selection features an even broader variety of materials and styles.
Whether strolling through the old harbour or shopping from afar, KAHRAMAN offers worldwide shipping through its online store—so you can always take a piece of Chania with you, wherever you are.

8 months agoAn old shop from father to son You can find whatever komboloi you want based on price and design. The owner is the master of komboloi. When you talk to him you realize that the man knows his job. The prices depend on what you buy and on designs and raw materials.... He covers even the most demanding customers. Talking to him you learn a lot! You are definitely buying from a reliable store and with a guarantee!!! Opinion after visiting many stores in Cyprus and Greece.

9 months agoI have been a customer of this shop last year and this year I have purchased rather expensive komboloi which unfortunately had its ‘papa’ part broken after week of use. I was super worried but when visited the shop and talked with Helena, I was explained why issue occurred and offered every possible assistance. Immediately I felt well looked after and forgot all my worries. Eventually, I have purchased another, more robust komboloi, following advice of Helena. Very happy with overall buying experience, all assistance received and will surely return next year to get another komboloi. Highly recommended store to visit!!!

9 months agoAs far as kombolois are concerned, Kahraman is first and the others just lag behind. Their pieces are beautiful and the workmanship is of exquisite precision. Moreover, the staff's treatment is always of the utmost delicacy. Buying a komboloi at Kahraman is much more than a mere transaction, it is a wonderful experience.
